This diet is making rounds in social media and internet on the whole. What exactly is it? This caveman diet involves grass fed proteins, fish, eggs, nuts, fibers, plant based oils and to some degree, fruits. These are great food choices, anyone can benefit from. Raw diet constitutes of food and drinks that are not processed. It is 100% plant based and preferably organic. At least, three quarters of your food intake should come uncooked. Plenty of other diets overlap with the raw diet. Some of the raw foodies are vegans too. They do not eat or drink anything animal based. The four major categories of raw foodies are raw vegans, raw vegetarians, raw carnivores and raw omnivores.

Vegetarian Diet

Vegetarian diet is followed all over the world for thousands of years. Ancient religions have been formulated primarily around vegetarian diets. Since it spans over continents, it has umpteen variations. You got lacto-vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian, lacto-ovo-vegetarian, semi-vegetarian and more. Most vegetarians in the world are the lacto-ovo kinds, who avoid animal based foods, except dairy, egg and honey. Vegetarians mostly fall on the lower weight spectrum. They are less prone to diseases in their lengthy lifespan than people who eat meat.

Vegan Diet

Vegans are defined by their take on life, rather just their diet. Vegans adopt veganism for environmental and compassionate reasons, in addition to health reasons.
